The concept was keeping the simplicity with house made food and generous portions . The mantle was handed to its current new owners in Dec 2011 who took up the challenge and continued to built upon what had so far been achieved. Over the past few years Deacon's corner has evolved with new menus and decor keeping the original Southern theme. . After continued success the new owners are now planning to offer extended hours with some new additions to dinner menu.

Food memories are often related to moments of sharing, love and growing up. Today in this high paced lifestyle when everything is fast, made easily replicated in giant industrial compounds, almost everything is laced with chemicals mostly preservatives. The goal is achieving a longer shelve life and the sole purpose and motivation is maintaining profitability. It will not be wrong to say that profitability is the only strong driving force for most businesses while Passion has taken a back seat and all decisions are based on trends and market study. Fortunately there are still very few small businesses defying these trends by staying true to their roots.
Here at Deacons Corner this is the element which inspires to keep them following the tradition of making Great comfort food all from scratch with sole purpose of evoking the nostalgic memories of by gone era. Recipes are simple, food authentic and all efforts are made to offer large portions at decent prices. Almost all of the listed items on the menu are fresh made daily.
